Thanks! The last coat in particular looks really interesting.

It looks like you have to do quite a bit of drafting/upscaling on these, but it's interesting to see the shapes nonetheless!

Thanks so much. In my job as a costumer, these will be so helpful in getting an idea for how to draft the period shapes. I downloaded all 4 pattern PDFs.

Thanks for posting about this. The timing is perfect as my husband, who never wants to dress up for Halloween saw something like these coats in a movie and asked me to make him one. I was thinking it would be fun, but wasn't really looking forward to drafting the pattern. Now, I think it will be perfect with just some tweaking!

Thanks, SueV, I think I can modify for my figure. It's kind of funny that the tails in the pictures flare out the back...I don't know many men with a "back porch."

Yeah, some of that flare is pleats laid out flat, but some of it... men's shoes in the 18th century had quite a bit of heel to them, for the most part, and that does the same thing to men's posture as it does to ours. :D
