Date: 5/17/11 8:49 AM I already had the software for the computer and it did come with the embroidery unit. What are your favorite features of this machine? How easy is it to back up if your thread breaks while embroidering? Any helpful hints or tips that you can think of for this machine. I think every machine has little quirks and knowing these can make sewing on a new machine much easier.
One other thing can you use pre wound bobbins when embroidering?

Date: 5/17/11 10:33 AM I don't have a 200 but I will say backing up on either my 165E and 630E is really easy. The 165E does it with a back arrow and the 630E does it with the stitch width dial. Neither has a low bobbin indicator but they will both indicate a thead break if it runs out.
My favorite thing on the 630E is being able to use the USB cord from my computer to the machine to send a design. You can find really long USB cords for this!
I'm pretty sure the 200 has a separte bobbin winder. I can do that on the 630E. -- Edited on 5/17/11 10:34 AM -- ------ So many projects, not enough time

Date: 7/22/11 2:55 PM I am looking at a used 200 with embroidery unit on ebay. Would you mind telling me what you paid for yours so that I can make an educated bid? |

Marie BerninaLand Yahoo Group is what you want to join. It's a very good group, and very informative. |

I have the 730E and it is much cheaper to buy extra bobbins and wind my own. I use the Bottom Line by Superior for my bobbins and it works great, comes in a variety of colors, too.
