Date: 5/18/11 4:37 PM Two words: Amy Butler. I love her patterns. She has a book out on bags. Awhile ago, I posted a bag pattern that I made. The pattern instructions were very detaileed. I loved it! |

Date: 5/18/11 8:23 PM Lazy Girl Designs are fun, and have good instructions, with some really nice, creative embellishment ideas. They are contemporary, and the website is good too. I have also seen her demonstrate techniques on a couple on youtube videos, and that was fun and helpful. |

Date: 6/17/11 3:25 AM This cosmetics case might be a good pre-purse project.
Destashification Make-Up Bag
It includes tutorials for:
2 different zippers (a lined curved top and another inside in the lining)
pockets
gusset
lining
quilting
Most purses/handbags incorporate two or more of these elements into their design, so this makes a great (and useful) practice piece!
