Sears Kenmore 385 serger? Anyone familiar

I believe 385 is the manufacturer number for Janome and not the model number..you may want to check again on the model number.

Janome makes the Kenmore sergers (& sewing machines) that begin with 385. The next four or five numbers after the 385 will provide the model number that can help you find a review. I own two of these machines, both of which I got second-hand. They work very well.

It is a very solid serger, easy to thread and maintain and I have sewn everything from faux furs and delicate cottons on it. I also have the Janome 634D which seems to be a clone of the Sears serger, but sits on the sidelines in favor of the 385..
