I am going to make a shirring dress and I need to buy elastic thread.
Is there such a thing as a best elastic thread? I see they have different rubber content. Does this affect the quality?

Not sure what a good one is, but I can recommend that you do not use beading elastic thread. Sales associate at Hancock said it was the same, but it didn't work very well in my machine.

I noticed that there are different brands and some of them have different content of Rubber and Polyester.
I was wondering if that would interfeer with stretching or even how long it would last.

Dritz has 28% Polyester and 72% Rubber
Designer Choice has 64% Polyester and 36% Rubber
