Has anybody here tried making a lined jacket with a serger only? If so what pattern would work for this technique?

I have never done it, nor can I recommend a pattern, but here is why I imagine such a pattern may be difficult to find....
Typically a lined jacket is more tailored, less casual than an unlined jacket.
A serger offers less precision and control than a sewing machine....so if you are sewing a garment entirely on a serger, it is usually a more casual garment. (as opposed to sewing the seams on a sewing machine, and finishing the edges on the serger)
Therefore, the precision needed in sewing when lining a jacket would preclude using a serger to do it.

I haven't done it, but if I were to try I would look for patterns with very simple lines. No pockets. It wouldn't have to be a boxy jacket though because you could sew princess seams for shape on a serger. Simple collar or no collar. I think it could be done, but might require some hand sewing for finishing details.
If you try it, let us know how you went about it.
