Date: 6/2/11 8:19 AM Hello!
I am looking high and low for fabric that is truly luminous neon pink and not just "hot pink" or "cerise". The fabric has to be woven.
It is totally ok if the fabric has been printed instead for dyed because I think it is impossible to dye neon pink. My request is that it has to be solid color.
Ideal weight: quilt type cotton but I will totally also settle for fewer thread count as long as it is useable for barbie/blythe size doll clothes.
Also, it is ok if the fabric is blend or synthetic. Cotton is ideal but for this I think I have to lower requirements to get any hits at all.
I have searched locally and could only find: fake fur, spandex and tulle that is neon pink. Not what I want. I also tried to google but it was hard to get proper woven fabric and not like tulle or spandex or as clothes garments..
So I am sending my hopes to you. :)
I would also like neon yellow but it is not as important.
THANK YOU for reading!!!! |

Date: 6/2/11 2:12 PM I was at my local store in Somerville MA yesterday and I saw neon green broadcloth (which I almost bought). Have you tried broadcloth or dyeing the fabric?
Edit: Try this -- Edited on 6/2/11 2:14 PM -- ------ http://saranoemi.com/style |

Date: 6/2/11 6:19 PM Broadcloth would be fine. But I haven't found dye that is actually neon and not just "hot pink". Only textile paint and it is kind of hard to put on paint smoothly without screen printing.
Thank you for repyling. Still looking... |

(sorry can't make link work)
I found this stuff - would it help? It's a gabardine so woven and fairly thick. Look halfway down for the neons. |

Date: 6/6/11 11:18 AM I have what I call Neon Pink and Yellow ( VERY BRIGHT)... Im not sure of the fiber content. I am not that Fabric savvy. I do know that it is NOT 100% Cotton....I was saving it for some small craft projects. Small because these are very BRIGHT. If you are still interested I can get pics of them later today ?

Date: 6/20/11 8:03 PM Hi:
Did you find any neon pink fabric?
I saw a shirt at J.Crew in a gorgeous neon pink, but when I tried it on, the style did nothing for me. AND it cost $69.95! I'd love a couple of yards of cotton, linen or rayon neon pink so I could make a top for myself.
If you found any, would you share the info with me?
Thanks!
