Date: 7/20/11 1:37 PM I've been talking to some various machine dealers of both used and new around my area looking for a machine to sew #8 Cotton Duck Canvas (18oz weight)
Here's a short list of the machine I'm considering and have been recommended by various salespeople:
Juki 98Q
Yamata FY5618
Juki 563
Consew 205
Tacsew 111 (<--seems identical to the Consew 205 to my eyes)
Sewline 106
Sailrite LSZ-1
They're all close enough in price that it doesn't make a big difference. I only really need straight stitch with reverse. And I want the ability to use a binding attachment.
Can you fine folks help me choose a machine or at least help me understand why one might be better than another?
