The new season on PR just started! Who is going to be watching?

**THIS COULD POSSIBLY BE A SPOILER THREAD** But I don't know yet.

I have it DVR'ed. I just got back from my run, and i'm heading to the shower, then i'm going to watch. Anyone know if it's an hour and a half again this season? Doesn't matter, I guess.

See you all in a while!

**EDIT: My DVR wasn't set up to record new stuff on the Lifetime channel. I'm so bummed. I got like the last 10 minutes. I can find out who went home, but that's about it.

One older guy this time. They had to design an outfit made from a bedsheet and whatever PJ they wore to bed the night before. I really trust Tim Gunn's opinion. He should be a judge and not the moderator. It always amazes me that someone gets chosen who only started sewing 4 months ago. She may be the first to get kicked out.

Subject: New season of Project Runway on tonight. Date: 7/28/11 11:24 PM

They are certainly off to a good start. Diverse group and interesting challenge. Older guy, Bert, has an interesting background--worked for Halston, Scasi, and Bill Blass. That should give him an edge over all the young kids. Beauty queen who's just learning to sew made it through and in the top three.

I haven't watched this in a few years but managed to catch it last night by accident. This seems like will be a good season. No Divas so far everyone seems rather nice and laid back. Also they know how to sew, well most of them. I've seen seasons where they can barely sew a stitch. I liked the pre-show where you got to meet them and see their samples. Should be an interesting season now I just have to remember to watch it.

edited to add you can watch first ep online go to my lifetime.com

I was able to DVR the 1 am showing, and I watched it this morning. I haven't watched a tv show in the morning in ages! lol

I was glad to see they showed the old guy (Bert) some love. In my limited experience with the show, there doesn't seem to be a lot of that going around. Although, I think Viktor should have won the challenge. I'll admit, I wasn't really all that impressed with Anya's top. It could just be how the print with laid out, but it didn't look all that well put together to me.

I think they're setting up Danielle (or she's setting herself up) to be the catty one.

I was suprised to see David go in the first 4. I don't know why, but he just looked like he belonged on the show. Oh well.

Should be a good season.

Bert's styling was awful but his work was really wearable and chic. I also like his manner. We'll see if he stays sober!! I hope so.

Did anyone catch the pre-show? It was interesting to see the interviews and how they choose the people who will appear for the season. You can see they pick people not only for their talent but for their personalities as well. They originally picked 20 and then knocked out 4 before the start of the 1st episode. I wish they would let us call in for our favorites and worst picks like they do with Dancing with the Stars. Sometimes their choices are not our choices, though last night's was pretty dead on in our house.

Finally, we get a designer from Boston. Too bad he got eliminated before the season even started. I hope the producers show a little more of the design process, the sewing, fitting, and even how the designers navigate Mood in 30 minutes. I really don't care to watch the middle school type drama we usually see on reality TV.

I am a fan and will watch as much of the season as I can.
