I just love maxi dresses and I have been on a roll sewing them this summer. I love the Vogue 8574 that I made last summer. Not too revealing and low cut for someone my age. What is everyone's favorite pattern?

I just finished three from Simplicity 3503 and really like the bodice and midriff. It is a knit pattern and I'd like to try a woven also. Here is a picture of my dresses that I made. This is for OPML, so it is a composite.

A thread after my own heart! I just made 4 for my daughter's birthday, This one, this one, in view D only long, and this one. The fourth one I ruined so we won't talk about that one.I bought some Vogue when they were on sale and intend to make them up for me at some stage, here and here.

They look great on you. I am in my later fifties and wonder if they'd suit me.

Get some inexpensive fabric and give it a try!

I love the Jamie Christine Mission Mxi! I have made 3 and I think that they were all done with in a week. They only take a few hours to make and they look great.
