My sewing skills are quite basic :-) Here's what I'm looking for and was hoping to get some help:
Long dress, short sleeves or sleeveless style ( have to be able to hide bra straps), but sleeves have to be easy to install like raglan or something like that
No zipper or button holes, those really mess me up
I look best with a raised waist, either elastic or drawstring, have the "apple" shaped figure, thick in the middle -- child birth does wonders and it's not going away any time soon :-)
Don't like neck or armhole facings. I can use bias tape to finish off those areas
Prefer woven such as rayon or light cotton. I have tried knits before. I can try knits again if it is a good pattern.
Not tight fitting but should not look like a sack either. The fitting can be adjusted bia ties, elastic, or drawstring. No zipper.
If the pattern says 1 hour, it will take me 1 day, 2 hours = 2 days. You get my skill level. The easier the better.
I have not done any sewing in the last 2 years so I need some suggestions. Been looking at patterns on the web and getting overwhelmed with the amount of patterns out there. Thanks so much for your help.

the only ones i could find that fit your parameters were both knits:

Here is a knit dress I made, and I thought it was quite easy:

This is really flattering and can be made up in a nice cotton, or a cotton poly blend. It is super fun to make, easy to wear and flattering. Check out the reviews....
It does take a lot of fabric however.

oops, it's Vogue 8645.

I recently purchased B5211.
I may try it this weekend.
It looks easy and with a belt it wouldn't look like a sack. There are several reviews for it.

This pattern is super easy. It calls for a woven but I made it in a knit. Pattern
No zipper, no sleeves, empire elastic waist.

I recently made this one up in a ruffly all poly knit, and made up in a velour, it might be one of the outfits I choose to wear to an Andre Rieu concert.
The edges are all just narrow hemmed and topstitched. I hope to post some pictures of this one on my blog.

McCalls 9172 is my choice for a soft cotton print. Easy and classic.
