Are you attaching the lining ala Chanel by this I mean quilting the lining to the fabric?

Hi Mozart,
Not on this jacket, but the tweed skirt class that starts at the same time will be using showing that technique. By the way, that is my favorite technique! This will have lining but not quilted.

The main focus for this class will be on construction, creating your own trims, bound button holes and other closures for tweeds, and the perfect 2 piece sleeve.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
Angela

Will you be using a 'no hand sew' method to bag the lining? i do not like the look of hand sewing when lining a jacket and am hoping your method uses machine stitching only.
thanks
Lexley

Hi Lexley,
The lining in the jacket willl be added by machine.

The tweed skirt class will show both the hand stitching and the machine.

Hope you will join us :)

i really do appreciate you answer my call.

I am good at sewing but doing my pattern on myself, it is so bad. I am a normal person size 12/pant skirt/shirt (lately) or large (sometimes large is too big)

I went to claire schaeffer school in Palm springs CA, but we only did the construction of the suit, not a pattern fitting me.

If you tell me which pattern to look for, etc...

I am really looking forward for your class and if you can help me i will make sure at work at it.

sincerely

Subject: Hello Date: 9/8/11 9:45 AM

Hello Angela,

I really like the look of your tweed jacket class and would absolutely love to take it as I think I would learn quite a lot. Unfortunately I am super busy this month and cannot possibly find the time complete a sewing class. So I was wondering if you were planning on offering this same class again this year.
Thanks in advance. :)
