Date: 8/24/11 8:08 PM Well, I'm 6' tall but I'm planning to sew for my 5' 2" tall wife a lovely bandage dress for a fancy evening event in November.
I also have plans for a long winter coat (I was looking at some $100/yd cashmere today!) once I find the right pattern, Vogue 1254 (a lovely Anne Klein dress) and several pairs of slacks, jeans and leggings.
She has requested several different color shells to wear under jackets as well. So I suppose I'll take a few days to cut and sew several of those.
My winter plans are suits, suits and more suits for her to wear to the office. I've stashed a lot of fabric for that project! |

Date: 8/24/11 9:09 PM Your wife is very lucky to have you make her a quality wardrobe.
I am petite, 5'0. My winter plan is basically more woven shirts and some skirts. I also would like to make a new winter coat and in my dreams it is a cashmere swing coat, the Vogue vintage one that takes over 5 yrds to make. Lets see, at a hundred dollars a yard...... ------ http://lasewist.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 8/25/11 8:30 AM I need some more long sleeve tailored blouses and I love blazers. I made a long coat last year so unless I find a heckuva deal on some fabric that I just can't live without, I probably won't sew another one this year. |

Date: 8/25/11 9:19 AM Planning on a new wool coat, some trousers, a sweater coat, and a couple of dresses. A friend of mine came by the other day wearing an empire seamed a line dress that was just the neatest thing i've seen in a while...I'm hoping she'll let me borrow it to knock it off.
I also need a new cape.
Pretty ambitious, but I'm thinking I'll have the time if I can just get organized. ------ Trinity

Date: 8/25/11 11:25 AM I am really in need of sewing a few things, but my time is limited. I am hoping to finish a wool coat and make a couple of dresses. I will be happy if I can just finish something! |

Date: 8/30/11 8:01 AM I like that shirt! I want to sew a plain V neck princess seam blazer with the sleeveless Simplicity 2601 to wear underneath it and a pair of trousers but I can't seem to find the right fabric especially for the jacket. -- Edited on 8/30/11 8:01 AM -- |
