Why is this an objectionable post? ASG is the American Sewing Guild, a non profit national organization devoted to sewing as an art and life skill. We do lots of charitable work, sewing for hospitals, nursing homes, making preemie gowns, etc. A fellow ASG member referred me to this site years ago and I have referred everyone in our Orange County chapter to this site also. All our proceeds go to further our work. I hope your statement was supposed to be funny because you can't go.

I think she was joking because she's bummed out since she can't go.

Thanks for the post, I'm going to see if the Houston ASG chapter does something similar. I could shop and I have no problem donating/purging when it is a double header of raising money for a good cause as well as knowing that purged items will find good homes and uses.

I'm sure that Rainspa was wistfully joking as everyone who sees your post will be wishing they had been able to attend. I'm a little sympathetic to Rainspa, too, as there is something so appealing to me about using those little emoticon faces. I know that I get carried away

As I look ar Rainspa's post the third and fourth time, I think she was joking too. I just don't want to post anything inappropriate.
