I went into the local Joann Fabrics without my daughter, today! I actually had time to look at every piece of fabric they have. I didn't know there was a Project Runway line of fabrics. They are really nice! There's even jeggings fabric! I wouldn't have had to order that online, darn. Has this fabric been there all along? Or, is it new?

There IS????? Somehow the fact that they go to Mood (do they still? I haven't seen any PR this season...) for nice fabric and that there is "Project Runway" fabric in Joann's just doesn't seem compatible. Next time I'm fondling something in Mood I'm going to be wondering is there imitation this or that with the PR label in Joann's? !!!

What colors were they? Just wondering, as the Project Runway fabric at Hancock's last year (?) just didn't tempt me color-wise. The designs were nice, but the colors - not to my taste.

There are some great casual and special occasion fabrics, including a sheer black knit with rows of purple ruffled gathers, a lattice print woven (bottomweight, really), coordinating knits and fine-wale cords, and some beautifully patterned party taffeta in lipstick red and deep teal. The colorways for the casual collection are periwinkle/purple/dusty mauve and for special occasions the colors are mostly in line with holiday dressing - jewel tones, reds, greys, etc.

I saw some of this at my Joanns the other day. I haven't watched Project Runway in about two years, so don't know what they are using as colors or fabric designs. The stuff I saw in the store, was not pretty at all.

My JoAnn's just had the formal fabrics, two knits and one corduroy. The colors were in the blues/mauve for the knits and a pale mustard in a dupioni looking fabric. I wasn't interested enough to even check the pricing or fabric content. What I found interesting was the two clerks I asked had never even heard of Project Runway, let alone the fabric line. The one male employee (third person asked) was the one who knew where it was. He has told other customers that he doesn't sew but his mother does.

Oh man, now I *have* to go to Joann and check this out. Just when I thought I could be temptation free for a little while.
