Interesting series of articles about the school and the reporter's attempts to find their families. Many learned dressmaking at the school and the report cards follow their job histories. ------ ~Kathy

Date: 9/22/11 2:24 PM Very interesting piece. That would have been the era my Father's Mother was in and as far as I know she went to 8th grade and that was it.
My other GM went to secretarial school after 8th. She was about 13 years older than the other one. That tells you how limited women's careers must have been. ------ So many projects, not enough time
