I am definitely interested in hands-on workshops. Esp. anything related to making purses & bags.

I'd be interested, particularly in fitting garments. But at the moment, not sure if I could attend as my niece's wedding is also that day and we haven't decided if we are able to go out of state for it.

Do you have a preference to a teacher or a location? What types of bags are you interested in?

Hi, Paula! I went to Oklahoma City in July for a Uniquely You Dress Form fitting class w/ Claire Kennedy. It was quite interesting. I have a wedding to attend this Saturday, none in November.

Yes, I'd love some hands-on seminars. Bags would be great, as others have suggested. I like structured bags. Maybe a class on working with leather - which could tie in with the handbag class perhaps. A class on embellishments - beading, unique uses of trims, etc would be fun.

Do you know of someone or more than one someone who teaches these topics? Where do you like to get your sewing classes/info?

I don't know of any local teachers for these topics. I get most of my training online (PR online classes), at the Puyallup Expo or the CreativArt Festival in Toronto. I don't know what resources we have available for the PR Day in St Louis, but perhaps if enough people were interested we could raise funds to bring in a teacher from elsewhere.

I should be able to participate. Pants fitting? That's still my big downfall.
