Just saw a little note on my Google page, almost missed it.

I guess that chapter of computers is really over. What's next?

(Not that it's the end of Apple but, until now, I identified each major brand with it's leader ie Microsoft/Gates vs Apple/Jobs)

Just saw that myself. Never used any of the man's oroducts, but gotta admire all he's done.

He was an amazing man, an incredible innovator, and he did invent/oversee world-changing technology. Plus I love the quote that's going viral on facebook attributed to him...

“Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” ~ Steve Jobs 1956-2011

RIP Steve Jobs

I was kind of shocked to turn on the TV and find this on breaking news. We know he'd been battling cancer and the last time he was seen in public he looked really really sick, however it still took me by surprise. This is sad.

I've loved the iPod ever since I first got my hands on one, and now I think my iPhone gets more attention than my DH. I think I'll miss Steve.

Just watched a fun photo essay of apple products from the first wooden, yes wooden case, computer. Wow, thanks Steve

I too was taken aback with the news. I grew up on Macs and now have an iPhone, iPod, iPad, iMac etc ... so when my husband and I saw this movie was made:

Pirates of Silicon Valley

we thought, hey, good time to watch it!

DON"T! Really don't, I ended up walking away. It is not a very complementary portrayal and... if it is true, I am extremely uncomfortable watching negative portrayal so soon after someone has passed. It seems disrespectful. I would have preferred to watch it in a few months.

curious. Jobs would have been nowhere without Wozniak, back in the 70's when the first Apple computer was created in Wozniak's garage ... just sayin'
