I havent seen this one b-4.

viking h-class 100q

It looks cute - I like that the stitches they did include are quilting stitches and they are 7mm.

I was just at my Viking dealer and they had one so I tried it out. It's actually a nice machine. It seems to be made by Janome, not sure on that but it looks and sews like a Janome. They are selling them at $499. She said that they are selling really well for her and that people are getting them for class and travel machines.

I haven't seen this machine before. It sort of reminds me of the Juki HZL E70 that I have also never seen in person but saw it on line.

I checked out this (h-class 100q) Viking machine today and I liked it. It was on sale already at the JoAnn store in my area for $399. Kind of tempting even though I don't need a travel machine. Although my travel machine doesn't have the needle up/down option, speed control and the nice quilting stitches like this baby does.
After sewing on it, to me it's much nicer than the Emeralds are, and even though doesn't feel and/or sound like the older nicer Vikings, it's still felt and sewed like a great little machine. I tried out the straight stitching and was able to figure out how use some of the fancy stitches without help from the dealer or a book and they looked great--not wonky at all.
I also liked the size of the sewing area--a lot of space in front, behind and to the left of the needle. It doesn't have a lot of space to the right of the needle like we quilters love, but what do you expect from a travel machine.
I checked out the video for it on-line in which they show a gal walking around swinging it in the air like it was as light as a basket of muffins or something--I wouldn't try that--it's kind of light--but that light.
My question for the dealer was would my Viking walking foot and free motion foot work on this machine. She said she'd get back to me on that. Cute as it is, if I had to invest in expensive accessories for a class machine, I'd be better off keeping my old one.
But anyway, it's a cute little guy (or gal).

Im glad its sale price is around 399 - it seems Viking had a glut of machines in the 500.00 price range.

I do like that it has those quilting stitches - better than the 5+ stretch stitches on the h-20 I had ...

Basket of muffins -- LOL LOL

I just purchased one of these today and the salesperson told me the feet are interchangeable between machines.

I just picked one up today to travel with. I agree that it does not sound like the nicer Vikings but everything works well and is intuitive. Nice to have a travel machine that I can use my Viking feet on.

And lo and behold --- drum roll please.... it has ADJUSTABLE PRESSER FOOT PRESSURE!!!! Something most of these small machines do not have. Very good, Viking!

I looked at this H-class 100Q at my local Viking dealer today and was told that the feet are interchangeable with other Viking models, except for the even feed foot and the ruffler. This model also requires a different bobbin than my current Viking Platinum 735...clear rather than green. I'm looking for a lightweight machine that I can take away from my sewing room without having to rent a crane! This one supposedly weighs 15 lbs.
