Date: 10/23/11 11:29 PM I am looking for a sm with a larger harp space and spotted the nx 2000 at my local Brother/Janome dealer a couple of weeks ago. I really like this machine, although as a new sewer all of the bells and whistles do intimidate me a bit. However, I figure I can "grow" into this machine, and really I won't need to purchase another one for many, many years.
My dealer is selling it for $2340.00, can anyone comment on what price they've seen this selling for? I should add that this price is WITH a trade-in. I didn't have the nerve to ask what it would be w/o a trade. lol
She also has the Janome Horizon 7700, which is selling for $2100.00 w/ trade.....
Thanks,
Pam

What were you going to trade in to get that price on the horizon. that would make a big difference in what you should pay.
I saw one LA 2000 for sale last week on sewitsforsale. Used of course. I think she was asking around 2 grand .. give or take a hundred.. might want to look to see if its still listed and see what she is asking for it. Check out our reviews to get some prices there also.. |

Date: 10/24/11 1:03 AM Oh yes, I probably should have included that information....I would be trading in my Brother Innov-is 80 to get those prices. I've only had my Brother since August.
Thanks for the info, I'll check out that site.
Poorpigling, I just read your installment posts regarding your Juki F600...I was laughing out loud! What a fun thread to read. And now I have to ask myself ~ would a Juki F600 be the better way to go??

Date: 10/24/11 9:31 AM I just bought the Laura Ashley NX-2000 for $2000 with no trade in. The dealer included 2 free cleanings and one 45 minute personal class. It has only been a week but I am in Sewing Machine Heaven! |

Date: 10/24/11 10:17 AM I like that one also, a lot lol. I was just drooling over it again. It's a very nice machine. And you can use a lot of different media with it. I'm guessing it's around $4k. I have no Brother dealer withing 50 miles of me. -- Edited on 10/24/11 10:25 AM -- ------ quiltingwolf.blogspot.com |

Date: 10/24/11 12:03 PM I am quite sure my dealer said the Isadore is $5000. It qualifies for the 48 months with no interest. I was not interested in the embroidery so I did not consider it.
Thanks for the congrats , poorpigling. |
