I have had this light gray wool suiting? I guess for a few years now. I didn't want to just use it on anything because it has embroidery of little gray butterflies along the edge which is also scalloped. And I think it's too special to use on any old design. Anyway the other day I saw a picture of this super cute trench coat on a little girl:
And I thought this would be the perfect use for that fabric. The only problem is I can't find a pattern to use for it. Does anyone know of a trench coat pattern for little girls?

Don't have a resource for you but try looking for a boy's bathrobe pattern that you could modify.

This PDF contains the patterns from the Ottobre April 2006 issue, featuring a girl's trench coat.

There was a girl's trenchcoat pattern in the September 2010 La Mia Boutique magazine, too:

There was a pattern for a child's classic trench coat in the February 2010 issue of BurdaStyle magazine. The same pattern is also featured in the current special Burda Kids issue. The collar is shaped differently and the pattern's "skirt" portion is cut straight (rather than shaped with little gathers, like on the trench you linked to), but you might be able to make a few little changes to give it the same look.
If you don't have access to the magazines, you can buy the pattern separately on Burda's German website here.
Hope this helps!
