Date: 11/4/11 6:23 PM Hi all,
Are there any sewists in the Finger Lakes Region of New York who would like to coordinate a meet-up day in 2012? Ithaca, where I live, has the indie shops Homespun and Quilter's Corner, a few second-hand stores for buying garments to refashion, as well as JoAnn's. Is anyone interested? Any other suggestions for which city or county to have this?

Date: 11/4/11 8:31 PM Well, I'll be. I've been looking for these stores in Ithica, and couldn't find the darn things! Did you know there's an apparel fabrics, second hand, in Ithica too? The owner gives sewing lessons in the back room. Can't remember the name of the store, but it has the word "green" in it. ------ "We don't impose our rhythm on Nature. "And no, now that you asked, I didn't enjoy that play one bit, and I'd like a refund" Signed, Mrs. Lincoln

Date: 11/5/11 7:32 AM Yes- thank you for reminding me about SewGreen. The store is right on The Commons and it's great! A few months ago I found a big piece of Malden Mills quality polarfleece there for a fraction of what it would cost at retail price. |

Date: 11/5/11 9:39 AM I'm in Syracuse. There's another PR buddy here as well and I bet we can ride together if she isn't too overwhelmed with work and school. |
