Much as I enjoy "window shopping" on Anthropologie, most of the things there are not aimed at women my size or shape. But I was playing around with Polyvore earlier and found a few lovely things posted by others that came from Avenue. This might be old hat to a lot of you but I'd never seen it before. There are lots of lovely flattering pieces and they are mostly shown on plus-sized models (on the slim side of plus, of course, but more realistic for those of us of well-padded dimensions). It is giving me a better idea of how some patterns I own but haven't tried might work out on me.

The neckline on this dress is so pretty. Anybody know of a similar pattern?

Thanks, this is a big help. I always wonder what clothes will look like with boobs in them.

Yes, Debby, that was my thought too! Such a difference to see boobs pushing out the fabric rather than having to imagine!

#DebbieS -- funny and so true

That is a pretty neckline....and it is not so low it exposes the girls. Hopefully someone will have a suggestion of a similar pattern.

Nice neckline.. but that necklace is way too much and hangs to low for that style neckline. Very distracting. The bracelet too chunky of a slyle for that very feminine dress too. I would want the waistband to be either a bit wider.. or placed a bit lower. Love the PINK.. And I think you could get by with the dress being hemmed a bit shorter.. sooo... you can look for patterns that have the most features of this dress without being a direct knock off and still have a fab looking garment. As its the neckline you like.. look for patterns with that neckline.. then go from there.

Avenue has nice stuff. I've bought clothes there before.

Yep, it was just the neckline that I was asking about. I don't think I've ever seen a pattern that has that neckline but I'm sure there are some out there!

It reminds me of a neckline in the 02-2010 Ottobre magazine. (You can flip through the issue and see the dress on their website; I can't seem to post a picture here.) I think its dress #16. Hope this helps!

PMB5 has a neckline that looks like that. It's called a taj neckline.

How about Vogue 8664 as a starting point to make a copy of the Avenue dress. I don't know what size you use in patterns but the Vogue pattern only goes up to a size 22.
