I have just finished two of the Scarf collared tops . I love this pattern . I think these are the most ready to wear items I have made so far.
I found the instructions fantastic and clear .The method they have you use to attatch the scarf collar is simply genius ( burrito method )

So are there any other Jalie's I should be making ?

I had the same thought after my first scarf collar top. I think the short answer is any Jalie you can get is wort making. I just bought the jeans--I'm looking forward to them! I would definitely say that they are a must-make, and I won't be surprised if this pattern ends up in some permanent hall of fame here.

Oh I adore Jalie! A few of my favorites are (in no special order):

2806
2795
2794
2449

I have a ton more Jalie patterns - some I've not made yet, but the only Jalie I haven't been that thrilled with was 2787. I just didn't work for me, but I deviated from the instructions, so it was probably my fault.

I met Emilie (daughter of Jalie founder) in Portland at PRW and she was so sweet and delightful. I love supporting an independent pattern company. Jalie really is top notch in ease of construction and, for me, a great fit.

Happy sewing!

Melissa I have just bought 2806,2919 the pleat collar cardigan and 2804 the empire crossover top. I love the look of the sweetheart neckline top 2794. I also like the thought of supporting smaller companies. I need to check out a few more reviews to see what else they have to offer

I thought the smaller seam allowance may pose some problems but actually it worked out ok . I was just so impressed with the instructions and I liked the fact that you got loads of sizes on one sheet ( a bonus if you have children I guess)

Oh, I totally love the smaller SA's. I usually cut down 5/8" SA's anymore to be 1/4" or 3/8" depending. Yes, check out the reviews and see what else you like. It's great to have all those sizes too, but I pretty much just sew for myself anymore so that doesn't matter so much to me anymore (plus my DD is about the same size as me ).

I've never had a flop with Jalie. I started with the patterns that made the "best of" list here on PR.

I'll second the 1/4" SAs. Jalie has convinced me that smaller SAs are the way to go.

I just started Jalie 2908 Jeans. I am almost finished have only the buton to -hammer on- and hem up the bottom. I am very pleased also this was the first pair of stretch jeans I have made and I swear they feel like wearing pajamas. I feel to guilty to wear them out of the house. LOL
