Viking 118 vs Pfaff Hobby 1142 buying help

The Pfaff looks similar to the Viking 116, which is what I have. The 118 has several features like needle stop up/down and speed control that the 116 doesn't have. I don't see those features listed with the pfaff model. I think you may get more feet with the Viking. Another difference may be how the feet attach. The Viking has "snap on" feet with a nylon type ankle, which may not hold up as well over time. Don't know if the warranty and customer service is the same or if the quality is the same. I tested the Pfaff & thought it a little bit better quality of stitch though I have not own a Pfaff ever. Not sure about the cost of Pfaff feet, but I know the Viking ones are pricey. hope this helps a little. ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile....
