Date: 1/6/12 5:51 PM I just got a new Brother SE 400 yesterday. After reading the instructions, I wound my first bobbin for regular sewing. I'm using the SA 156 bobbin, which was recommended. It was hard to get the bobbin to fit down onto the bobbin winder shaft but I managed, and the bobbin wound correctly. Now I cannot remove the bobbin from the bobbin winder shaft for some reason. Does anyone know how I can get it off? I don't want to damage my new machine. Thanks!
Never mind! I finally got the thing off. When I ordered my machine from amazon.com, I also ordered a bag of 10 bobbins that I thought were genuine Brother bobbins. I think that caused the problem. Tomorrow I'm going to my local dealer and buy some more bobbins! -- Edited on 1/7/12 0:05 AM -- |

Date: 1/6/12 6:57 PM When you wind the bobbin the spindle that the bobbin sits on gets pushed right, push it back to the left and pull bobbin straight up. When bobbin winder is engaged the start stop light is orange, when disengaged the light is green with foot down, red with foot up. ------ Janome10001, Babylock ESG3, Brother ULT 2001, White 634D serger, Pfaff 1472, Singer featherweight, Singer 14T957Dc, Bernina FunLock 009DCC coverlock, Brother PQ1500S, Janome CP900. |
