Date: 1/14/12 9:46 AM I have never been to a sewing expo but my husband and I are going to the one in Cleveland. I have relation there so we can have some fun while there. I hope it's worth going there. I'm not into quilting so I hope it isn't just all quilting stuff. What's it like? |

Date: 1/14/12 10:06 AM I live close to Cleveland, so I attend the Sew Expo each year. It is a very fun show...if you sign up for classes, you can possibly spend more than one day there. There is an emphasis on quilting, but you will certainly see lots of booths in the vendor area for apparel sewing and some other crafting, also. Vogue Fabrics usually has a large booth, with many choices in fabrics and independent patterns to buy. One of my favorite parts of the show is the fashion stage, where there are free 30-45 minute topics and fashion shows. If you get on the mailing list and check the show program brochures, you can plan your time to see and do what is most interesting to you. I hope you have lots of fun!!! |

Date: 2/7/12 7:54 PM I went for the first time last year. It was quite an experience. Last year I invited a girl from my church to to with me and ended up having to work around her schedule so I missed some classes I wanted to take. No regrets though. We had a great time. This year I am planning to go alone. I looked through the classes and I dont' see anything of interest that's going to work into my schedule. But I'm looking forward to finding some great fabrics. |

Date: 2/7/12 9:14 PM I attended for the first time last year. In my ignorance, I didn't realize that it was on both levels of the IX Center. I was just about to leave when I saw the sign to the downstairs level, thank goodness. Lots of stuff to look at and spend money on. I intend to be there this year! |

I saw that there was a downstairs when we first got there but soon forgot as I quickly became mesmerized by the displays on the 1st level. We were actually about to leave & saw people going downstairs. By that time I had already spent most of my allowance. I definitely would have made some different choices. This year I will be sure to pace myself and check out both levels. |
