Date: 1/19/12 3:18 PM I 'd like to order a couple of presser feet for my machine but have been putting it off because I am unsure of what sites are good to deal with. I'm in Canada and it appears that to order online I would likely need to order through a site in the U.S. One site I checked states the shipping outside the U.S. is not shown at the time of the order but calculated at the time of actual shipping. I'm thinking I would kind of like to know the amount up front that I am going to be charged for shipping! lol
I considered Amazon.com but have never ordered anything from them before that has to be shipped from an outside source.
Maybe someone could offer a suggestion based on personal experience from ordering there, someplace they found the service to be really good and the prices fair? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Date: 1/19/12 3:23 PM What kind of machine do you have? I have ordered feet from Sew Classic ... good quality & good prices. She has screw on feet & snap on feet (low shank snap on) Even high shank feet as well. Also fast shipping! That is important to me as usually when I am looking for one it is because I already want to use it.... ------ I am a gal from Kalamazoo.... oh what a gal... smile.... Date: 1/19/12 8:13 PM I've used Gone Sewing which is based in Texas. They have international shipping for $3.33. I'm in Australia and the shipping rate made me very happy. I've ordered from them 3 times and service is good (pressure feet and needles). |

Date: 1/19/12 10:39 PM tgm and Kittys's, the machine I want to order the feet for is a Kenmore, made by Janome. It takes the snap on type of feet. Thanks, I will check Sew Classic. Always good to know of places that people recommend. And I know exactly what you mean, the order gets placed because you're already in need of using it! Been there for sure! lol
dragon 10, I've seen Gone Sewing on eBay in the past, I didn't realize they had an actual web site though. I took a quick peek just now, looks like there is lots to choose from! Great to know you've had positive experience with them. Love the international shipping rate!!! :)
On my way to bed right now, nearly midnight here, but I will be sure to check out both sites tomorrow! |

Date: 1/20/12 2:00 AM I have ordered presser feet from Amazon; they were sent from a sewing machine dealer. No problems at all; these were Brother low shank feet that also fit on my Babylock. The price was good and delivery was fast

Date: 1/20/12 7:44 AM Without seeing a picture of your presser foot I can't be 100% certain but your machine is probably a low shank presser foot with the snap on adapter. If you are interested in buying low shank feet (vs. just the snap on parts) you can find lots of Ebay sellers. I recently purchased a lot of high shank and Cover Pro feet from Sharp Sewing on Ebay, they also have low shank feet for sale. They have free shipping in the US, you would need to contact them about shipping to Canada. I also have purchased from Sewing Machines Plus, they have a vast selection of sewing machine feet for all brands of machines. Once again, I'm unsure about shipping to Canada but they have always treated me professionally when I had questions so I wouldn't hesitate to contact them. ------ I'm finally a blogger!

Date: 1/20/12 7:49 AM I've also ordered from Amazon. Several presser feet and the machine itself. I've had no problems and have had same day shipping for all the items.
Can you check out Amazon.Canada? If there are local vendors, they would probably be listed or at least you would know what kind of shipping charges you would be looking at. ------ 2009-113.25 yds

In any case, I buy regularly from third-party sellers at Amazon. I've never had a hitch, even on the couple of occasions where I had to return the merchandise. Just be sure to check out who pays return shipping and what the return policy is. Amazon ensures that their third-party partners do what they say they'll do. |
