Date: 3/3/12 1:58 PM Credit first to jaquiJB for linking to the Gorgeous Things' Blog to help Vivienne with a question about her lace collar.
For all things sewing there is never too much, right? So I had to look at more than just the linked article on the lace trench and was tempted by the Blogroll you'll find on the right side of the Gorgeous Things' Blog screen if you scroll down just a bit.
I took just a moment to check one blog, just one, and I'm so glad I did. Mary Beth, The Stitchery, A Personal Journal I scrolled down the page and ended up going on a little adventure with Mary Beth. I've already been to the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan this morning thanks to Mary Beth.
I hope you'll pick a rainy day to check out some of the blogs on the Gorgeous Things' Blogroll and I hope you'll share other 'blogrolls' from other sites. ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |

Date: 3/3/12 8:56 PM I think most bloggers have a blog roll of those they follow on their blogs. Some times you see a lot of repitition but once in a while I will find a new one.
I have been finding some wonderful new blogs through Pinterest. It has taken me to sewing places I did not know wre out there. I think I get stuck in a rut of following the same ole, same ole. With pinterest I am enjoying some new bloggers. ------ http://lasewist.blogspot.com/ |

I live in San Francisco and think you live in the Bay Area too? Maybe I saw your name as a member of the local Bay Area Sewists? I haven't joined, but tomorrow will post a photo and get to it. ------ Sometimes she didn't always follow the recipe.

Date: 3/5/12 2:08 PM Wow, GIButterfly! Thank you!!!
Solosmocker, thank you for the idea of using Pinterest as a yellow brick trail to blogs.
Call me oblivious, but when I've looked at the online pictures relating to sewing room organization in the past, I never thought of those as being an easy way to connect to sewing blogs.
After finally noticing the possibilities on this page (hover over a picture with your mouse for the blog links): Sewing Rooms I checked out the blog for Upstairs Sewing Room. What a delightful story she told about her family plotting and planning a big surprise for her. The surprise? Two sisters came to arrange, organize and decorate her upstairs sewing space.

Date: 3/9/12 1:58 PM Just referenced BrianSews! this morning in response to a post about machine lighting. Date: 3/9/12 5:55 PM There were some questions about shirt construction details on another thread. I did not find a blog for Stephany Jess, but I did find that her videos detailing construction components of men's shirts are in at least three different places. And, if you find one, it leads you to the others.
Stephanie Jess
She introduces herself as Stephanie from Stephanie's Simply Sewing. If anyone has come across her blog, please post information on how to access it. Thank you. ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct. |
