I am looking to subscribe to Burda Style since Iíve been buying single issues for $12 each. Is there a difference in ordering subscription from Amazon versus GLP? They are the same price at $90 for 12 months.

Thanks!
Steph

Thanks! I was wondering if going through Amazon would give me peace of mind since GLP looks like it will be placing the order with Germany. One thing I can't find from either site is whether if I subscribe now, if I would get the March issue or the April issue.

I began a six month subscription through GLP, ordered late January. I received the March issue (my 1st) during the last week in February.

My guess is if you order now you will begin with the April issue. Almost certainly with GLP you won't get March.

No problems with my GLP order, by the way. It's where most people here on PR seem to get theirs.

I have had my subscription with Amazon for about three years. It took them 3 months to send the first issue. At that time I think GLP would have been faster. I don't know about now.

I use Amazon and have waited until the last second before to renew. I have had no problems. Last year, I let my subscription lapse for the December 2010 issue and renewed for January 2011 (I didn't want that December issue). They reinstated quickly. I like Amazon's interface and buy many things from them, so I prefer them over GLP.

I've used GLP since 1997. They are great, although the little reminder notice postcard they send is so small I get paranoid that I'll miss it.

I just got a subscription, and I wanted the March issue, so I had emailed GLP to see if it was possible. They told me they had a few issues left and could do it if I ordered quickly, which I did immediately after the email.

I ordered it last week and got the March issue in today. Regardless of anything else, the customer service was excellent.

Hi Elaina,

That's what I just did. I saw that they have a comment box if I want to start with a different issue. So I ordered through GLP (since I don't think Amazon would be able to start me on a different issue) with a comment to start with March issue if possible.

Thanks everyone for your input!

Steph

I've been subscribing through GLP for many years. If you need to reach them, they are just a phonecall away and promptly responsive.
