I found this site from Make it and Love it that will make stuffed dolls from a child's drawing.

Child's Own Studio

She (on Make it and love it) goes into a tutorial of how make one yourself.

How cool is this??? What an awesome idea! I thought I'd pass this on under Creative Sewing.

Very cute. I did this with my daughter's drawings years ago (she's 18 now). My mother took my siblings' drawings and embroidered them on a wallhanging way back in the 70s. What great memories.

I did this with my niece's drawings, but I made the dolls look EXACTLY like the drawing. A spot-on ABSOLUTE COPY in 3D.

The kid was mildly impressed, but her parents and grandparents were stupefied! I copied and shrunk a photo of the drawing and made everyone a set of notecards to accompany the dolls as holiday gifts to my sister and her mother-in-law.

My sister's father-in-law is a prominent modern artist of the 20th century. For years, they've displayed that doll centrally in their home right along with the paintings!

What an interesting idea! Like most of them except for the 2nd post doll on March 10, quite creepy!
