Date: 3/9/12 3:26 PM I also really love the knit jeans from Coldwater Creek. What kind of knit are these made from? Are they considered a medium or heavyweight knit? Is there anywhere to purchase the overstock of this fabric or a similar knit denim that is heavy enough not to show every lump and bump or sag out?. I plan to make bootleg jeans just like I purchase at Coldwater Creek.... I'd just like to get a better fit. ------

Date: 3/10/12 0:52 AM Yes, they are cotton with Lycra and so comfy. I've tried other brands but the fabric on these is the best. I'd love to find the fabric, but I don't even know what type of knit I'm looking for. The petites are a little short for me but the regulars are too long in the rise and this year in length too. Would love to be able to sew up a perfect fit. The jeans are so wonderful, I can't be the only one to want that fabric... and they truly look like denim. ------

Date: 3/10/12 1:01 AM I'm not familiar with the Cold Water Creek pants but I have used jegging fabric to make something like pajama jeans. I bought the fabric from JoAnn's. The fabric looks like denim but thinner and have a lot of stretch. Unlike many of the fabrics I've purchased from JoAnn's these haven't bagged out or even looked worn. The fabric comes in a dark blue and a dark grey.April Johnston Project Runway. ------

Date: 3/10/12 11:41 AM I did see a knit type jeans fabric at JoAnn's once, but I happen to fit the Coldwater Creek jeans perfectly and I bought a bunch at an outlet store. Why mess with success. Although they do stretch out after a few wearings, they do look stylish. I had given up on wearing jeans as I like to have soft clothing. |

 1 member likes this. I would love to find the fabric for these jeans -- I have been wearing the CC jeans for several years but now have a dilemma. The smallest womens size is way too big in the waist and abdomen area and a little too big in the hips. The largest misses size would fit my waist but I cannot get them up over my hips.
It would be nice if you could dictate where your weight loss inches come off -- unfortunately it does not work that way 
Will be keeping my eye on this thread for possible sources of this fabric.

Date: 4/5/12 7:49 AM Have you tried emmaonesock.com or gorgeousfabrics.com? They may not have what you want right now but perhaps can find it. Linda (at emmaonesock) and Ann (GF) are very helpful. Ann has a great blog, if you don't know her already.
You won't find Joann prices, but the fabrics are top quality. ------
