Singer 9910 Buttonholes

It is straining our friendship. I would love to here from anybody who has fixed this problem. Cheers Chezz

I am not familiar with this machine so I might not be much help but someone else might chime in. Are you able to make a buttonhole at all?

I have fluked a button hole once after lots of beeps from the machine.Frustrating. Don't know what i am doing wrong.

Usually the holder needs to be pinched in to set or hold the button tight. Also after pulling the lever down as far as it will go the lever is usually held in place by a little bracket or thingy that sticks out on the foot. After completing one buttonhole, some machines require you to not just go on and make another buttonhole but to first or once again touch the BH stitch selector before making another BH. I hope you get it figured out.
