Tell me you favourite Butterick pattern (I'm looking to do some Butterick pattern shopping!)....especially one you have found to suit a pear shape (very slim up top, wider down below!)
Casual, work, going out wear - all suggestions welcome
TIA

Subject: Whats your favourite Butterick pattern? Date: 3/17/12 7:14 PM

I made this top which actually turned out really cute for summer B5655
These PJ varieties are cute and easy! B5653
Made the pull on capri pants on these - perfect for warmer weather B3039
Also, I really like the Connie Crawford series for Butterick... her fitting is spot on!

Have fun!!!

Butterick 5601 made one of my favorite dresses, but I don't really use Butterick very much. This pattern worked on my pear shape, but I do remember going up a size or two for the skirt. Otherwise, I would recommend it for the cute back detail.

Good luck!

Butterick 5466

I've made three or four versions of the princess seamed skirt. It's a GREAT pattern.

I love Butterick patterns. Right now I'm working with 5534. Just finished up the slacks. The vest is super neat. I have an OOP dress I use for summer, 5024 View B. I even drafted some short sleeves for the sleeveless version. I like the 5024, because of the pleats. They allow the material to skim over my "imperfections"

I haven't tried Butterick 5760, but it looks like a wonderful classic pattern that would be very flattering .

Nancy, I'm going to have to check out that pattern. I love the shoulder princess jacket.

Thanks everyone. Order is placed
I like the look of B5024 - but it is oop. I bought a variety of skirts, some casual wear, tops etc. Should see me through until next season .
