Date: 3/19/12 2:32 PM I ordered two patterns on Friday and just got an e-mail today from Jeremy saying that the one was out of stock and would be printed on Wednesday, sorry for the delay. But he never mentioned when the other pattern would be sent. Does anyone know how long these patterns normally take to ship?
Wish he would have said if they will be shipped together or seperately. |

Date: 3/20/12 1:14 AM E-mail him back! In my experience with this company, they (I think mostly Jeremy) are a bit casual about the speed of delivery. Nothing ill-intentioned, you know, but let's say 'relaxed.'
The only way to get action is to bug them. They're not going to hate you. They want your money and repeat business; if they treat you badly, they won't get that.
So re-contact him until you get the answers you want and have paid for! |

Date: 3/20/12 10:33 AM Thank you for your reply. I definitely will contact him again. This just bugs me. Seems like poor customer service to me. They already hit my credit card and have not sent the merchandise. That is just wrong. Let you know how it goes. |

Date: 3/21/12 7:10 PM elona,
I tried e-mailing Jeremy again and have gotten no response. This is so disappointing to me . I think it is not excusable for a business to ignore its customers. Seems strange to me that there is not a phone number on their website. Hope I can get this resolved soon. |

If you do Facebook, post there about this. Post on any other sewing sites or blogs you subscribe to. Post a report--completely factual--on YouTube. For legal reasons, it is important to be factual, because you don't want to expose yourself to charges of slander or libel, so stick to the facts.
Then, send Hotpatterns notice that you have done this, and why. |

Date: 3/22/12 6:18 AM It can take a week or two to receive patterns when ordering from them. They have a home based business in which they have recently expanded into fabrics. I would not rush them. It wasn't too long ago we would have to wait for mail order items 6-8 weeks for delivery. Today everything is so instant, no one has any patience anymore. When I order from BMV, it takes about a week to 10 days as well for delivery.
I received a pattern once from HP and it was missing directions. I sent an email requesting the pdf file for it and they sent it directly. Usually you will get a confirmation email from them when they have shipped your patterns.
I hope you like your new patterns! |

2 members like this. Date: 3/23/12 7:48 PM Well, still no reply to my e-mails. I am a very patient person but not when it comes to communicating with a business who already has my money and has not sent me anything, plus they just ignore my e-mails. Maybe some of you think that this is okay.
That is hard for me to understand at this point. At the very least a response is warranted to me about my questions to them. |

Date: 4/10/12 0:56 AM Please try to take into consideration the size of the company. A company with 500 or 5,000 employees should be expected to give top notch, instant customer service - much like Amazon.
A company that has two employees that do everything (printing all the patterns, filling orders, answering all the emails, making YouTube videos with tips for the patterns, taking and posting pictures of fabric, cleaning the company toilets) is just not going to be able to get to every email as fast as if there was a full-time person for each and every one of those jobs.
It usually takes me about 10 days to two weeks to get an order and sometimes 3 or 4 weeks. If they have to do another print run, I'd give it an extra week. They are very helpful and will make everything right. If Jeremy is printing, folding and stuffing into pattern envelopes a run of 100 or so patterns, he can't also be reading and returning emails.
I'm no relation or anything like that, I just don't think a really small company should be attacked for not having instant service just like Amazon. It isn't possible.
