I couldn't find what I thought would be the right forum for this question:

I moved the straps on the back of a RTW camisole and the resulting mend is very itchy/scratchy.
I used cotton thread and sewed it on my machine (don't have any silk thread).
How would you more advanced sewists approached this?

If there is a facing on the camisole I would open up the seam just enough to stick the strap in and resew on my machine. That should help with the scratchiness.
