Searching for extremely loose gauge knits.

I've seen and purchased some jersey a bit like this, but never a wide open, chunky knit. If you know how to knit, though, this would be a VERY fast and easy project to create. For example, take a look at the hand-knit sheer sweaters at ravelry.com Many of them are knitted of fine yarn on big needles, but this one is worked in heavier yarn on really big needles. (I saw them there a couple weeks ago when I was stocking up on knit stash!) You'll probably have to wade through a lot of stuff, but they may have the sort of thing you're looking for. ------ ~Gem in the prairie

Well, the thing about this sweater is that the seaming twists around the body and the arms, additionally the knit itself twists diagonally. I'm not talented enough with knitting needles to pattern or create that, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to sew pieces together instead, in order to preserve that drape that made me want to reproduce this sweater in the first place.
