I thought it was adorable Date: 3/24/12 7:18 PM I thought this man was so cute (albeit sewing clueless) as he marvels over every detail of this 94 yr old woman's sewing room. He's there to do laundry but gets very fascinated by her setup. I laughed out loud. This guy is adorable, with his words for things... Like ecomically/ergonomically. Love this guy & his 94yr old seamstress friend.

posting from my phone & it's not working quite right with the link.
Maybe you've all seen it, but it was new to me.

Date: 3/24/12 7:42 PM I was wondering the same thing. Maybe an expert will pipe up with more detail. The only cord I could spot was for the lamp. The machine itself seems in good shape for being so old. I love all her stuff. I wish I was there in the room for a tour:-) maybe Francis is a PR member :-)
(Also, thanks for fixing the link. I couldn't see it 'til now when I logged in on my laptop.) -- Edited on 3/24/12 9:04 PM -- |

Date: 3/24/12 7:51 PM In the little video it looks like a older industrial machine. It has the belt with the geardown ratios to the side of the machine. At 94 and stills sew. 1 member likes this. Date: 3/24/12 8:10 PM It is an industrial machine. The thing that looks like a treadle peddle is to control the motor. The knee bar is to lift the presser foot.
I thought he was sweet, and certainly has a lot of admiration for his landlady. ------ Pat in Rockport, TX

1 member likes this. Date: 3/24/12 8:14 PM I loved this, thanks for posting. She is not in the video but she's my hero and good for him for appreciating her. Yes, that's an older industrial with the knee lift. She seems to like making dolls and check out the pattern tacked to the wall.
I want to be 94 kickin' and sewing. ------ http://silkmothsewing.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 3/24/12 8:16 PM I was wondering - that makes sense. I had to smile because I understood his awe feeling about it all. All her tins look so interesting too. |
