Date: 4/6/12 5:42 PM I just found this BLOGTIP about how perfect IKEA's Aneboda drawers were for storing patterns.
I figured I'd just add some Fomecore dividers to straighten the rows out a little.

Now for the bad news: I tried to find it on IKEA's website and I can't. That blog was written in '08 from Oz sew-er. I wonder if that drawer chest has been discontinued?

Date: 4/6/12 5:49 PM People are always getting rid of IKEA stuff on craigslist. I found a listing for a pair locally posted just 4 days ago. IKEA, 2 ANEBODA white 3 drawer chests. $55/each. Don't think I can get them to you in NY for a reasonable price. |

Date: 4/6/12 5:52 PM NhiHuynh! Thanks for the kind thought, though! You are such a dear. My family sewed in the garment factories, too!

Date: 4/6/12 7:07 PM It would be interesting to know how many folks on PR have or had family members in the garment industry? My grandmother and grandfather were both in that work. If you are in NYC or visit I suggest going to the Tenement Museum in the Lower East Side. They have tours to show different ethnic families. I went on the 1 for jewish immigrants. They were garment workers with a home factory. Really eye opening to see the tight quarters for work and family life. I'd go and tour again- it was great. ------ Sometimes she didn't always follow the recipe.

Date: 4/6/12 9:18 PM I have that dresser. It's not the best quality. It might still be available in store you'd have to call around and ask. The bottom of the drawers of ours sagged over time and fell out when too much stuff got put into it, like more than two pairs of pants But it was on sale for $59 so ikea-disposable. |
