Type the word tunics in the box above patterns (left side of the screen at top) and several patterns will come up. Good luck.

To KathySews Tory Burch tunics. I must have been looking them up while you were posting a reply

To veer away from the big4 choices, and if you don't mind a downloadable pattern, the instructions on these patterns are very thorough and in my experience almost failproof.

Shana Bell Sleeve Tunic
Patricia Tunic

They tend to include instructions for making it the length you want based on your height, which I have found to be fairly accurate too.

If you want to add elastic to a tunic for a blouson waist or lengthen it into a dress, is there a rule for measuring the tunnel?

Mark at your waist and then lower that line how much for the blouson effect, so the garment won't pull up when raising the arms?
I'm trying this for both little girl's and adult clothing.

I usually add between 2 and 3 inches to the length. I use 1/4" elastic so it's just a minimal 3/8" tunnel.

Have you seen this pattern? It's a fairly new Simplicity Project Runway.
