I want to do more sewing with knits for my sweet grandchildren. However, around here the only knits are the few carried at JoAnn's and not much! Does anyone know of an online store with lots of temptations?
Thank you

Fabric. com offers free shipping over $35.
Sewzanne.com has a great selection & good quality of knits, esp for children.

If you're looking for children's knits, have a look at the online stores I posted in another thread here.

Cute stuff and great service from GirlCharlee (advertise on here).
Also look on Etsy, you often can find bundles of small pieces for kids.

I can't tell where you're from to know whether you'd have reasonable shipping or not, but
The Fabric Fairy (NAYY) has some very cute knits for children. Good luck finding what you're looking for.

I second Girl Charlee. I also like Chez Ami.

I also love the fabric at Chez Ami. The knits are very high quality, I sometimes order solids for me. And the wovens are extra wide.
I've also ordered from fabric.com and fabric fairy

My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.

If your grandchildren are small enough you can use t-shirts from either your family who are tired of wearing an XL t that says I'm cute or go to the thrift store and buy a bunch of oversized men's or women's tshirts to cut down. If there are any XXXL mens, you may be able to make a shirt and shorts. Anything knit dcan be recycled - from skirts to over size pants to t-shirts and even a vest or two!
