I'm convinced, I have 1 child out of 5 that is NOT trying to drive me batty....

but I did manage to wash, iron & fold 15-ish yards of fabric... and I felt so much better afterwards....

so I'm wondering how crazy I will look if I set up my ironing board on the deck and do some ironing & folding out there??

LOL If you will "Google" the phrase extreme ironing and click on "Images", you'll see that it's not crazy, at all.

Wow! Thanks for that link! That is weird and fabulous, and will have to give this link to my husband. He is the real ironer in the family!

Mom.. I have only one dog that is not driving me batty.. So I often take my little blue mini out on the patio and sew while they play in the yard.. Making them stay out in the yard with me.. wears them out and so they sleep more.. giving me a bit more peace and quiet time.

And I swear if I had the room.. I would buy an industrial ironer .. or whatever its called.. I may very well buy a gravity iron soon as it is..

Hugs to moms everywhere..

Extremely Great, thanks! My favorite- the cow ironing board. And people think I'm an extreme ironer simply because I do so every day before I get dressed. Well, sometimes I'm dressed and notice a wee wrinkle has escaped me, but I can deal with that. And I have the burned belly button documentation.

Truth be told, I'd say ironing is part of my spiritual practice- calming, focusing and to the social good! Those whipper snappers at school accept me as the soul of authority when I stand before them in class unrumpled. Quite a discipline technique.

Hey- how many irons do you have? What kind? This could impact the good iron versus copay question.

I've yet to find the perfect iron, one not too heavy or too light, that doesn't leak. That heats up fast. My husband who does all his own ironing God bless him uses an iron we've had for 17 years. I want him to replace it as it's old and I'm worried about it catching fire. That is pretty much a near perfect iron. Wish I could find another one like it.
