These are the new KwikSew patterns. There really is nothing in here I would buy; especially if they are switching to that tissue paper crap.

I hope the Mc-Vogue-rick mothership isn't turning them into the crafty and homemade pattern company. I think most of this isn't just yawn, it's baaaad.

I mean, this could maybe be cute but . . .

I like vests and this could be cute but not like this . . .

This, actually, could be pretty cute. It's not my style but some of you could rock this.

I do like some of the kid craft stuff.

Okay, I take it back, I really like this top with the short sleeves but I have a few patterns like this already!

I just posted on the other Kwik Sew thread that I think this is exactly what they are doing. I won't be buying any of these.

In one word, AWFUL!
The flimsy tissue paper becomes a non-issue when the designs are so bad that you have no reason to buy them.

Looks like I'll be editing my old patterns for an updated look...

Time to keep my old KwikSews! Especially if they are going to tissue paper.

I think Kwik Sew has always had a challenge with fabric choice (not being very fashion forward) for their envelope patterns. I have always had to look at their line drawings to make a purchase decsion.

Horrible, shapeless. I have no need for the crafty stuff either. $11.99 for cheap tissue paper patterns ?!? I buy very few patterns these days, but alter my old ones to add new style. Actually, I have been using my 80's collection to match current styles.... Hope this is not a sign of times to come.

The catalog says Spring/Summer and there isn't 1 swimsuit pattern. I wonder if the next offering will be Fall/Winter.
When I see those 'Ellie Mae' envelopes all I can think of is the 'Beverly Hillbillies'

I wouldn't buy one of these either. I have a lot of Kwik Sew Classics that I will keep.

The model in the first photo has an 'I can't believe I'm wearing this' look on her face, it seems to me.

Effective color blocking is not that hard. (Maybe they were going after this look?)

I would hate for a potential sewist to think that this is what you are going to look like if you sew your own clothes.

Meh is exactly what I thought about all of these patterns.

This is NOT the Kwik Sew that I've come to love! I will be so disappointed if the new ownership takes Kwik Sew in the craft pattern direction.

Where are the cool sportswear patterns that they do so well? Any new lingerie or active wear patterns?

What a disappointment!
