Date: 4/20/12 6:36 AM So we're only a month away from PR Weekend in New York! Is everyone as excited as me to fondle some fabric?!! I can't wait to see some of my old PR friends again and to meet some new folks.
The downside of the trip being less than a month away is that's not a lot of time to get my sewing finished. My sewing plans include a pair of jeans, a flowy spring dress and a couple tops.
What is everyone else working on? ------ Bonnie

Date: 4/20/12 8:17 AM I'll bite! I just finished the Colette Sorbetto top in tangerine/black/cream Anna Sui and hope (big hopes here!) to make a pair of skinny black jeans and a tangerine linen jacket to work with it. I was thinking of a new maxi dress too, but we will see! ------ Connie Bontje

Date: 4/20/12 9:46 AM I've got three dresses cut out, two knit and one from a woven rayon I bought in Chicago last year. I'm hoping that one of them turns out nice enough for the dinner. I also need to cut out a couple of tops and get them sewn. I probably won't get much work between now and then so I'm cutting out like mad this week so I can spend the rest of my time at the sewing machine. ------ Visit my blog at http://sewingsaga.blogspot.com

Date: 4/20/12 10:04 AM I cut out a black jacket (RTW Contest & NYC trip) to match the black skirt I made. I plan to wear the jacket & skirt to the dinner. ------ Needles Up!

Date: 4/20/12 10:12 AM I have so little time to sew - aaargh! I am working on just one item but I am not sure I will get it finished. It's a little vest/jacket (Marfy 2591). I am going to make it in a hot pink denim! |

Date: 4/20/12 10:28 AM Oh dear - I have (had?) so many plans for new garments for this trip! I'll be lucky if I get even one done :(. The plans include at least one pair of Jalie jeans (either black or white), two dresses ( one a maxi), and a couple of tops. But I haven't been able to do any sewing for the past 2-3 weeks, so so much for all that!
Can't wait to see what everyone else accomplishes!

Date: 4/20/12 10:43 AM I hope to have a cardi, a couple of Colette Patterns dresses, a couple of knit tops and a new pair of Jalie jeans. I've got the cardi and one knit top cut out. We'll see how much I actually get done. ------ http://sweetnotions.blogspot.com/ |

Date: 4/20/12 1:07 PM I'm leaving for NY a week early, so I only have 3 weeks! I need a dress for dinner, but I haven't started working on it yet. Can't even decide on the pattern. I was going to try for a top--a simple version of my vintage pattern entry-- and/or a simple gathered skirt, but I may work on mending my coat lining. It's not as fun, but a lot more necessary. ------ "Creativity is the residue of time wasted." Albert Einstein.

Date: 4/20/12 2:05 PM I have a knit dress for dinner - Vogue 1258 in a rayon knit print I bought at PR Montreal in 2010.
The rest remains to be seen! I hope I get my act together and make some Collette clovers and a t-shirt. ------ Cheap fabrics, like cheap shoes, are a false economy.
