Wow! How do they always find these photos?! Surely, someone doesn't just type in numbers until they find something...

I'm excited to see what looks like a good selection of patterns for wovens. I was a little disappointed to see that a lot of the patterns I liked from the May preview were for knit fabrics...not that I don't love knits, but my stash is mostly stocked with wovens and I'd like to sew from the stash before buying any new fabrics.

Anyway...that jacket is really nice! The leggings pattern looks like a good one, too (super-basic, but very useful).

I like the look of these pants - they seem to be that rare cross between not-too-slim and not-too-wide.

This girl's tunic dress is adorable. I only wish the women's version (in the photo where the model is holding the parasol) had the same bell sleeves and button placket, though I guess those could be easily added on. I also could live without the horizontal seam on the bodice. Actually, I just wish the girl's pattern came in women's sizes. haha.

oooh, you are quick!

Besides the jacket, I am not seeing much I like. That red dress was awesome, but it is not something I can rock :-( Over all, not much in the waist-defining department. But in Burda's defense, the styles are pretty much on trend. I was looking at Saks Fifth Avenue and Nordstrom websites last night, and it's a lot of the same thing.

I saw nothing that begged to be made, but the hail-to-thee, blithe-spirit poses around the swimming pool were interestingly pointless.

And there is this stunning example of how to make a 6-foot, 116-pound teenager look dumpy, hippy, and short-legged!

This is in the plus section on the last page of May's issue. Think how bad this would look on an actual plus sized woman.
How do you people find these early pictures?

I think I jumped ahead too much.
Unusual.

The mushroom people are interesting. The slouchy tank top and pants are very ordinary. I agree that they would look horrible on me.

The white dress is lovely though.
