Poly/Cotton Seersucker Have never seen this before!

This material feels thinner than traditional seersucker. I bought a little to use for a little girl's swimsuit. Is it weird I've never seen this fabric before? Most times softer, thinner, lighter and more bendable/flexible than Seersucker. Or the ones I've seen on the bolts in the fabric stores have all been. I have not made it up ever. But instead of the puckers/crinkly bits getting in there by the way they weave it, like Seersucker, it's more flat smooth yardage, that then gets chemically treated in spots on it, and that makes those parts of it puckery.

Exactly!
