Date: 4/25/12 10:44 PM I am looking for a source for knit edge binding, in many colors if possible. I don't want woven bindings, I need something to work with knits. Many thanks ------ Cassidy |

Date: 4/25/12 10:50 PM I make bindings from the knit fabric itself. There may be pre-made knit fabric bindings, but if so, I've never seen nor heard of them. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock!
Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you. |

Date: 4/25/12 11:12 PM Are you thinking about foldover elastic? ------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 4/26/12 7:54 PM Well, if it is FOE, then Sewzanne's Fabrics is the only place I know of.

Date: 4/26/12 9:38 PM Peggy Sagers recommends using SAF -T -pockets elastic for finishing (like bias tape, but elastic). Stitch in place. Don't stretch as you sew. It comes in several colors. Click on notions at www.saf-t-pockets.com ------ "Let's make the most of this day"

Date: 4/26/12 11:30 PM A great eBay source with outstanding prices is Foldover Plus. Scroll down to check out 78 separate listings. The seller, hobovian, stocks many colors of 5/8" foldover elastic. Just ask and she'll send samples if you'd like them. ------ Judy |

Date: 1/22/13 8:48 PM thank you all for the hints... I am close to the LA fabric district (2 or so hours driving) and happily Threads just had a great piece on just this area so I will be off to do some serious poking about soon. Of course, I will wear a reporter's hat for a tell-all in the near future. Cheers! ------ Cassidy |
