Date: 4/27/12 12:41 PM Wow, I found it kind of tacky. I mean, lines like this:
Quote: The evening gown presented another hurdle in owning her unofficial title of princess. As a new bride, Kate played it safe with boatneck collars and muted hues. She carried off this McQueen gown gracefully at the BAFTA awards, though the billowing fabric, or perhaps her nerves, read like a newbie on the job.

Date: 4/27/12 12:45 PM I'm still trying to figure out why the pretty dress with the black nylons was so bad. I believe it was mentioned somewhere that she can't go barelegged and that's a look I don't like anyway...maybe it's living in a cold climate, but I thought the sheer black looked good...
I did like all the outfits and wish I looked like that in jeans! ------ 2009-113.25 yds

Date: 4/27/12 1:57 PM I enjoyed the slideshow -- I very much appreciate the non-freak-show quality of the princess' taste -- but disagreed with most of the editorial analysis.
For instance, I love the flowy dress at the BAFTA awards.
And I must confess that I don't see the evolution of style they are talking about.
I'm so glad no one is following me around taking photographs every time I step out the door, and commenting on how well I am fulfilling my role. Such commentary, however, might be hilarious! ------ marjoriekh |

I thought she looked wonderful in all the pictures, which I think was Joan's intention when she shared the slideshow. At first I didn't notice the comments were meant to be how she was failing. But it's what they did with Diana, too. Thank goodness I'll never be in the spotlight because there wouldn't be enough bandwith to show each and every fail. ------ http://sweetnotions.blogspot.com/ |

Subject: Kates Dazzling Princess Transformation Date: 4/27/12 5:26 PM Marec, I did too! Which is why I found the commentary so distasteful.
