Date: 4/29/12 1:18 PM Wow, thank your posting this. I bought a couple of length of Ikat in Bali at Christmas, paying around $4 per meter. I did not haggle, although normally I would haggle routinely when making a purchase. I did not think I could live with myself if I paid less than they asked, the price was so low.
The Ikat fabric is beautiful. I have made one piece into a coat and still have the other to make into a shirt or jacket. Can't wait to get back to Bali soon to buy more of this beautiful traditional craft. It would be a shame if it died out. ------ Taking in is happier than letting out.
