I am considering placing an order for the box of 61 Brother colors ($61) from Designs By Sick. Seems like a great deal. But because it seems "so" good for price I'd like to hear if anyone here has used their thread and can recommend it? Thanks.

I have not used brand "?" from this site. There are some positive reviews by their "customers". Of course, who would print negative comments!

I found buying a pre-determined assortment ends up with many colors that I do not use.

I can't say as I haven't used these threads but I've seen them on Amazon as well and I have been tempted. The reviews there were pretty good but a lot depends on how picky your machine is, that's what held me back from trying them. I hope someone who has bought them will give some feedback, it could be a good purchase.

Well, for the price compared to what thread costs elsewhere I don't really mind having a few extra colors that might not get used. Definitely a good deal, but only if the thread is of good quality.

Hopefully someone who has used it or knows of someone, will chime in on this. I don't want to go on comments that are posted on their site, because, yes of course, they would all be positive.

Do they have a return policy? At least if you get it and it's not what you hoped/thought it would be, you could send it back???

Well they have 2 sites for ordering, an American site and another for ordering from Canada. On the American site it says you can return an item for a full refund. There is next to no info on the Canadian site. I did find however, that they are a Canadian company, out of Ontario.

Also, I just found another thread here in the embroidery forum, dated back in '09. It was about a sale they were having on their designs at the time. The posters spoke highly of them for their designs. There was a post where someone asked about the thread but the only response was someone said they hadn't tried it. There was another thread regarding Designs by Sick, again about designs. I added a post to it asking about their thread. Hopefully someone has some experience with it, whether it be good or bad. But I'm hoping for good because the prices are excellent! Plus since I'm in Canada I would actually have an option that wouldn't involve customs and duty.

I have the Designs by Sick thread that I bought through the Canadian website (I live in Ontario). It has a wide range of colours and my Janome 300E has no problems with it. The price was very good, with the bonus of not having to pay $$$$ just for shipping from the US. I was a little anxious about buying a whole set of threads not knowing if my machine would like them or not, but overall, it was a very positive experience for me.

Lynn, thank you so much for commenting! Sorry, it took me awhile to respond, it was a busy weekend. This is great, I'm going to go ahead and order the box of 61 Brother matched threads. But wouldn't you know it, the site is showing their boxes of thread as out of stock right now. But as soon as it's back in stock I am placing the order!

I agree with Lynn (two above) - I have the SiCK thread and it works great in my machine.

That's great Liz! Glad to hear it! Hope they get the boxes back in stock really soon!

What about their stabilizers, has anyone ordered them?
